When servicing a natural gas meterset that includes an earthquake valve, there is a risk of inadvertently “tripping” the valve and shutting off gas to the customer. The DIA “Trip Guard” is designed to prevent this from happening, reducing inconvenience to the customer and additional cost for the utility.
